PREPARING FOR YOUR INTAKE CALL
Initial Consultation & Intake Process
I’m really looking forward to our time together getting to know you. Please carefully read the details below on how best to prepare for your initial consultation.
What to expect;
We will discuss your goals and go over medical details from your intake form.
We will cover a series of movements to assess your current state.*
*We may ask for your consent to record any relevant footage for assessment in order to track and measure progress at a later point.
What to prepare;
Ensure you submit your intake form 24 hours before your scheduled call time.
Sign the Client Agreement.
Clear a space you can take the call from and mark out an ‘X’ on the floor (approx. 1.5m x 1.5m) in an area that allows you space to move and film your whole body for the call. Ideally try to find a firm surface such as a wood, concrete or tiled floor. We like to mark out using Masking/Painters Tape (scotch tape) as we find it durable, easy to remove and that it doesn’t mark on our surfaces.

Have a Rolling Pin or similar object to hand.
You may have something that will already work around the house, it doesn’t technically need to be a rolling pin we just find that to be the most common item in your home that is the right weight or length.
If you have any medical records such as radiographers reports, blood test results you wish to share it is useful to have the files available or send them to us in advance.
Where possible please wear comfortable clothing that allows us to properly measure your biomechanics and movement and allows you to move freely during the assessment.
We recommend you set up for the call on a computer. Our encrypted telehealth software and its features work best on a desktop browser. It is possible to connect to the call on a mobile device but some of the additional assessment features may not be compatible.
Additional Useful Equipment
As the course progresses you may also wish to get;
Wireless Headphones - I personally try to limit my use of wireless headphones but they have a time and place where they can be incredibly useful - I have found movement coaching to be one of them.
Camera Stand - If you have a smartphone you will find it helpful to have a tripod or set up that allows you to record videos of yourself easily. Of course you can ask someone to hold the camera too, but for those of you that would find this difficult a device to hold your camera steady and at a good angle is optimal.
